Westgate on Sea Town Council are happy to report evidence of graffiti on behalf of residents if you can please provide an exact location and a photograph, this can be emailed to us.

Graffiti is an under reported crime with few reports being sent from Westgate on Sea as a whole. Graffiti is classed as criminal damage and is therefore a crime.

Complaints of graffiti are dealt with differently depending on whether the graffiti is obscene or not, or whether it is located on public or private land. Thanet District Council are unable to clear graffiti on private land or street furniture that does not belong to the District Council, but will work with owners to try and help.

Where possible, please send in pictures and exact locations, this helps Thanet District Council to identify the locations more quickly.
