Active Travel Fund Schemes

Kent County Council have confirmed that Westgate on Sea one way proposal for Station Road has been granted funding. The scheme is likely to start mid September 2020. This is a trial stage for a period of 18 months, during this stage Kent County Council welcomes all feedback. The Government Active Travel Fund Scheme has stipulated that the scheme has to be delivered within 12 weeks of receiving the first tranche of funding, hence the tight timescale restrictions. As the scheme is a trial it can be changed after implementation. There will be further updates available next week.

Kent County Council are the promoters of the scheme therefore any feedback/concerns residents or retailers have regarding the project, please report via Kent County Council Highways on the link here: https://www.kent.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/report-a-problem. If you use the fault reporting method Kent County Council can gauge conerns and use your feedback to be reviewed throughout the trial period.
