If you receive a text which you think maybe a SCAM there is a number you can forward it to - 7726. Your provider will then investigate the origin of the text and they may take action if it's found to be malicious.

If you receive an e-mail which doesn't quite look right, it can be forwarded to the Government National Cyber Security Centre, who will look at the email and decide if it's suspicious. The address is: [email protected].

If you use PAYPAL, you may receive emails saying its from PAYPAL, when its starts "dear customer" If you think this is a SACM forward them on to: [email protected] who look into these type of mails on customers behalf.

Did you know that scammers steal £3.5 BILLION a year from UK residents? COVID 19 saw a vast increase in scams, REMEMBER that the NHS, Police or your doctors surgery will never ask you for money (unless you have to pay for a prescription)

If you need work done on your home, and are worried about employing a trader, there is a useful service that you can use either on line at: kent.gov.uk/tschecked, or by telephone on 03000 416438. All the traders registered are checked and signed up to the system.
