Join Our Events, Tourism & Development Committee

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and experienced members of the community to join Westgate-on-Sea Town Council’s Events, Tourism & Development Committee.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and deliver our vibrant programme of events that bring the town together, as well as contribute ideas that will help increase local trade and celebrate Westgate’s strong heritage identity.

As a co-opted member, you will work alongside councillors and officers contributing to planning and supporting the successful delivery of events and initiatives throughout the year.

We’re looking for people who:

✅ Are passionate about Westgate-on-Sea

✅ Care deeply about bringing the community together

✅ Understand the importance and contributions of local businesses

✅ Embrace the town’s unique heritage identity and potential

✅ Can commit time to attend meetings and contribute proactively

✅ Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team

This is a voluntary role, but one that offers the chance to make a real and visible difference in Westgate.
