Thanet Coast Project

This website covers information about the important habitats for marine and bird life around the North East Kent coast. This information relates to the management of a number of nature conservation designations, known as the North East Kent Marine Protected Area (NEKMPA) which includes the North East Kent European Marine Site (NEKEMS) and the more recent Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ)

The Westgate-on-Sea Heritage Centre

Holds monthly talks and opens most other Saturday mornings during the summer months, although the Heritage Centre can be contacted at other times by emailing [email protected] or writing to the Westgate-on-Sea Heritage Centre at Office 2, Town Hall Buildings, 31 St Mildred's Road, Westgate-on-Sea, CT8 8RE. A number of booklets produced by the Heritage Centre are available to purchase. The full range of publications are listed on the website and along with details of the talks and information about opening hours.
