TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (2)

Kent County Council gives notice that A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate-on-sea will be closed to through traffic, on or after 8th June 2023 for up to 2 nights.
The road will be closed on the Westbound carriageway of A28 Canterbury Road at the entrance to Hundreds Farm.
The alternative route is via A28 Canterbury Road, B2052 George V Avenue, B2052 Hartsdown Road, B2052 Tivoli Road, B2052 Beatrice Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, Canterbury Road West, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A299 Thanet Way and A28 Canterbury Road.
It is planned that the road will be closed between 22:30 and 06:00 each night.
This closure is necessary to enable manhole cover repairs to be carried out by Southern Water.
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.
