Temporary Road Closure - A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea - 31st October 2022 (Thanet District)

It will be necessary to close part of A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, in two phases from 31st October 2022 with estimated completion by 5th November 2022.

Phase 1 - A28 Canterbury Road will be closed from 21:00 hours on 31st October 2022 until 05:00 hours on 1st November 2022.

Phase 2 - A28 Canterbury Road will be closed between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours from 2nd November 2022 until 5th November 2022.

There will be a lane closure daily for the pedestrian walkway.

A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, will be closed from outside 125 St Augustines Lodge to the junction of St Mildreds Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, The Square, B2050 Park Lane, B2050 Manston Road, Shottendane Road, B2052 Hartsdown Road, B2052 George V Avenue and vice versa.

All HGV traffic to pull off at the junction of B2052 George V Avenue due to carriageway suitability.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility works are undertaken by O2 (UK) Limited.
