Sarah Jarman

Sarah Jarman was co-opted to Westgate-on-Sea Town Council in March 2026.

I was born and raised in Westgate. I spent some 10 years away at college and living abroad during my late teens and early twenties, but returned to Westgate to settle and raise my three children.

I have worked closely with people throughout my life, both in teaching English as a foreign language and in the care sector. I love to listen and communicate and as a Town Councillor I hope to use these skills to bring people together for the benefit of Westgate. I would like residents to feel confident that their voices are heard.

I can often be found walking my two dogs along the beaches and promenades, or shopping in the town centre. It’s vital that we work together to maintain Westgate’s assets as clean, safe, family friendly spaces. I would like to ensure that our pavements are kept clean and our shop fronts are well cared for, and that Westgate is welcoming to all - residents and visitors alike.
