We are undertaking early engagement on five
walking and cycling improvements across Kent.
Find out more about our ideas and tell us your views.
Kent County Council have successfully secured funding from the government’s Active
Travel Fund to enable us to improve walking and cycling facilities in five areas across
Kent. These seek to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of local people, as well as
support the local economy. Funding has been secured to develop the following schemes:
• Canterbury: Littlebourne Road to the City Centre
• Folkestone: Central Railway Station to Cheriton
• Thanet: Birchington to Margate Sands
• Folkestone: Hythe to Dymchurch
• Gravesham: Gravesend to Northfleet
We want to understand and incorporate views of local communities and the travelling
public about our ideas and how you feel about walking and cycling improvements.
Your feedback will be vital in helping to shape how the schemes are progressed.
