Thanet Heritage Open Days
Westgate-on-Sea Town Council
Westgate Takes Centre Stage!
The annual Thanet Heritage Open Days season will take place this year between Friday 11 and Sunday 20 September, and Westgate-on-Sea will be well represented!
There will be talks in both the Bake House and the Carlton Cinema, guided walks around the town and a self-guided ‘High Street’ trail taking in the shops and businesses on Station Road and St Mildreds Road.
With a theme of ‘Everyday Histories’ exploring daily working life through the ages, Heritage Open Days is the country‘s largest heritage festival, celebrating local history, architecture and culture, and we’re delighted to work alongside the Westgate-on-Sea Heritage Centre to bring these events to the town.
