Both vehicle keys are with the owner, so we believe that an electronic device was used to extend the signal from the key fob in the home address to the vehicle, facilitating the theft of it.

There are products for sale online that can protect against this (called faraday pouches), where you store your keys in a pouch that prevents the signal being hijacked.

We also encourage people to utilise garages where possible so that their vehicle is not visible from the road.
