The 10am WALK on Saturday 12th is close to full - very limited spaces left. Spaces still available for 1.30pm.
TALKS
There is currently availability for the TALKS on Saturday 19th, including the fascinating focus on the CARLTON CINEMA held there.
The annual Thanet Heritage Open Days season will take place this year between Friday 11 and Sunday 20 September, and Westgate-on-Sea will be well represented!
There will be talks in both the Bake House and the Carlton Cinema, guided walks around the town and a self-guided ‘High Street Stories’ trail taking in the shops and businesses on Station Road and St Mildreds Road.
With a theme of ‘Everyday Histories’ exploring daily working life through the ages, Heritage Open Days is the country‘s largest heritage festival, celebrating local history, architecture and culture, and we’re delighted to work alongside the Westgate-on-Sea Heritage Centre to bring these events to the town.
