Mike Livesey

I moved to Westgate-on-Sea with my wife and dog in 2022. Since then, I’ve become immensely proud of belonging to our unique community – and passionate about protecting and enhancing everything that’s special about Westgate-on-Sea.

During my career, I worked in the NHS, before entering journalism, publishing and PR. In this capacity, I was employed by a large publishing corporation, before running my own small PR and communications business for 16 years.

Being a town councillor gives me the opportunity to draw on the skills and experience I’ve acquired over the years of my working life to play my part in keeping Westgate-on-Sea moving forward.

My aim now is to dedicate my time and energy into gaining an understanding of the aspirations and needs of the residents and business owners in Westgate and helping to deliver solutions. In particular:

  • To retain the uniqueness and beauty of this lovely coastal area
  • To help Westgate-on-Sea become increasingly vibrant and diverse
  • To foster prosperity for the town’s businesses
  • To ensure the needs of residents of all ages are catered for

Finally, I believe it is hugely important to emphasise that we all have a voice, and that it will be heard.
