Westgate-on-Sea Town Council
Westgate-on-Sea Town Council has embarked on preparing a Neighbourhood Plan for the town.
A Neighbourhood Plan is a set of planning policies created from residents feedback on how they want to see their town or parish developed. Once the Plan has been put together residents will be asked to vote as to whether they agree or not in a local referendum. If the Plan is agreed then the Local Planning Authority, in this case Thanet District Council, will consider Westgate's Plan alongside the Local Plan when making planning decisions.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has collected the views of residents, businesses and visitors to the town through a survey. The results of the survey are being analysed and will be published in due course.
