Struggling to recognise trees without their leaves? Looking to learn something new this winter?

Register your interest in attending upcoming free winter tree training to help you learn more about trees and connect with the nature around you!

The Field Studies Council are now taking registrations for the final free tree training course, Identifying Broadleaf Trees in Winter.

The course will be delivered by a tree expert in our local community and will focus exploring the features of buds and twigs to identify common tree species, even when they are winter-bare. They will also be running this course online, so there’s lots of opportunities for you to get involved!

These courses are offered completely free of charge, thanks to the Forgotten Places: Greening Coastal Towns and Cities project, led by Trees for Cities.

You can choose between an online course, beginning on the 31st of October, and a face-to-face course, taking place in Ramsgate on the 19th of November, 10am to 4:30pm.

You can find more information on the Field Studies Council website here, and please click here to apply.

Applications close on the 3rd of October 2022.
