Land south of Westgate and Garlinge – Hybrid Application for Outline Permission for provision of up to 2,000 residential units

Thanet District Council has now received a hybrid application for outline permission for provision of up to 2,000 residential units. The Planning Reference number for this is OL/TH/20/1400 and this application includes a full application for the erection of 120 residential units forming Phase 1.

Public comments can be submitted to Thanet District Council and the consultation expiry date is Friday 25th December 2020. The Town Council has strongly opposed the plans to build on prime agricultural land and is seeking professional advice to formulate a formal response to the hybrid application which will be sent to Thanet District Council before the consultation expiry date.

The next Full Council meeting will be held on Zoom on 1st December 2020 at 7pm, the Agenda will be available online and in our noticeboards three clear days before the meeting with details of the link needed to join us.
